My little brother has been twitching in school apparently. He was always super hyperactive and imaginative, but the teachers think this is something different and so my mom’s taking him to see a pediatric neurologist.

is there anyone in the west virginia area that would be willing to take in a young LGBT kid getting away from an abusive home for a few days while the legal shit gets worked out

please i really really really need help even if its just a signal boost this is me fucking begging ple ase

One time a girl came into my work and asked for a table for three and then pointed to our booth that is used for large parties asking if she could have that one. My co-worker and I just look at each other and then explain how it’s used for bigger parties. The girl then proceeds to tell us that her friend who’s going to be with her is obese and she wants a booth so her friend can be comfortable. Luckily our smaller booth opens up and we’re able to seat the girl there.

Now, from the way this girl described her friend, I’m expecting someone very large. Like the people they make shows about with titles like “500 Pound Virgin” I’m expecting this girl to need a wheel chair soon. I mean for her friend to insist that she is far too big to sit in a chair and absolutely needs a booth is a pretty dramatic statement. So I’m looking out the window for this “obese” girl.

Two minutes later and a tall, young woman (possibly even an older teenager) and elder woman come in and mention her friend got them a table and head around the corner. It’s only then that I realize that this is the friend the girl insisted was too large to fit in a chair. BUT SHE WASN’T THAT BIG AT ALL. And I’m so mad now. Like, yeah she was thicker, and maybe unhealthily so - I wouldn’t know I’m not her doctor. But to describe her as obese and insist she was too big to sit in a chair and needed a booth?

My co-worker and I were shocked. We felt sorry for this girl who’s friend had described her as obese and a had made such a big deal about her weight. Idk I just read an article about “skinny vs. fat” in art and felt like sharing this.

I need to get up and do productive things buy it’s raining out and I just wanna keep laying in bed.

5-Year-Old With Autism Paints Stunning Masterpieces

Autism is a poorly-understood neurological disorder that can impair an individual’s ability to engage in various social interactions. But little 5-year-old Iris Grace in the UK is an excellent example of the unexpected gifts that autism can also grant – her exceptional focus and attention to detail have helped her create incredibly beautiful paintings that many of her fans (and buyers) have likened to Monet’s works.

Little Iris is slowly learning to speak, whereas most children have already begun to speak at least a few words by age 2. Along with speech therapy, her parents gradually introduced her to painting, which is when they discovered her amazing talent.

“We have been encouraging Iris to paint to help with speech therapy, joint attention and turn taking,” her mother, Arabella Carter-Johnson, explains on her website. “Then we realised that she is actually really talented and has an incredible concentration span of around 2 hours each time she paints. Her autism has created a style of painting which I have never seen in a child of her age, she has an understanding of colours and how they interact with each other.”

Much better version of the same subject matter I posted earlier.
